The "Taking Action: Arts and HIV Prevention with Youth" Symposium was designed by the Gendering Adolescent AIDS Prevention (GAAP) Project to bring together youth aged 16 - 26 to develop HIV prevention strategies using images, text and other forms of artistic expression. Involving a cross-section of Toronto-based youth, writers, artists, activists, entertainers, health workers, educators and academics, the workshops on drama, hip hop music, graffiti art and photography provided a creative space for discussion and action around HIV prevention.
